Louis (Brad)'s Story
It all seemed like a blur...I graduated in 1972 and I turn around it's forty-one years latter. Time flies when you're having fun. I have 3 son's who are grown in their mid to late thirties, and of course I have nine granddaughters, and three grandsons. I spent 12 years in the United States Army, I got drafted in August 1972, and when I reported to the induction center and enlisted for an extra year. The draftees were treated differently, and I wasn't going to get treated like a red headed step child. Our class was the last year anyone was drafted into the Arm Forces of the United States. Vietnam was still happening anything could happen especially being sent to Vietnam War, and the war wasn't over officially until 1975.
The grassroots movement of the "Jesus Freaks had begun, and people would be standing on the street corner in America, and through out the world preaching salvation to the world through spiritual rebirth.

opulous...when in uniform and traveling we got spit upon and called baby killers, so to avoid any conflict with civilians most of us would change into civilian clothes as we were traveling. It is way different today, and I think this is a grassroots movement to become Americans who appreciate our service people. When the WW1, and the world war two veterans came home veterans were treated with respect. The Korean War, and Vietnam War veterans were treated badly, and these war's were policing actions.
I graduated with a bachelor's in business administration, in 2005, and I am currently working on a MBA in Communication.
To present day I am living in Clarksville, TN enjoying the laid back lifestyle and trying to get motivated again to get back into the YMCA senior exercise classes. All is good and I am grateful for a work that was begun in 1971 is still a work in progress, and I Love my Lord more and more each day. We attend a small non-denominational church and love being a part of the fellowship.
